4 Days Samburu - Lake Naivasha - Hells Gate Safari

Day 01: Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserve. Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi at 07.00AM and drive Northwards to Samburu game reserve via Mt. Kenya and past vast Coffee plantations. Picnic lunch and game drive en-route viewing the unusual reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich, all of which are rare in other game parks. Dinner and overnight at the Amboslei Sopa lodge ir similar. 

Day 02: Samburu. Game Reserve. Full day spent in Samburu with early morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). This is also our best chance to see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at the Amboslei Sopa lodge ir similar. 

Day 03: Samburu - Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, depart with game drive en-route Lake Naivasha/Hells gate. Drive past the northern tip of the Aberdares mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Naivasha is located, via the Thompson Falls. Lunch at Thompson Falls. Dinner and overnight at Tented camp or lodge.

Day 04: Hells gate national park - Nairobi. Early breakfast then drive on to Hell's Gate national park for a guided walking tour - http://www.kws.go.ke/content/hells-gate-national-park . Located in Naivasha area, this is one of the lowland parks in the country which you can walk through. The looming cliffs and the Hell's Gate gorge itself are spectacular and home to a variety of birds and animals such as zebra, baboons, Thomson gazelle, antelope, cheeter, and leopard. Another main attraction is the Fischer's Tower 25-m high calcium of volcanic rock.

The Olkaria Geothermal power station, which uses one of the hottest sources of energy in the world, is also a spectacular site, with plumes of steam rising into the air. Drive to Nairobi later in the afternoon where you arrive at around 16.00PM. On arrival you will be dropped at your hotel or at the airport.
