Details of Half Day Tour to Nairobi National Park

This half-day Nairobi national park tour is approximately 5 hours, and you have a choice of a morning or afternoon excursions.

The morning tour starts at 6.30 am and ends at approximately 12:00 pm.

1. General Information. Nairobi National Park is located in Nairobi making it the only city in the world to boast a natural game park. The park borders the South Kapiti plains and Kitengela Migration Corridor. The Athi River conveniently forms a natural boundary to the south of the park.

Lake Nakuru national park was established in 1961, and since then the park has increased considerably and now covers an area of 200sq km. It is the most famous of The Great Rift Valley lakes with "the world's greatest ornithological spectacle". Highlights: Hells Gate national park is famous for its natural hot geysers, eagle and vulture breeding grounds as well as activities by visitors in the park such as walking, cycling and rock climbing. There are also special locations to view such as Fischers’ Tower formerly a volcano’s plug, the central Tower and Njorowas Gorge. The Olkaria and Hobleys’ the 2 extinct volcanoes are worth a trip as natural steam vents rise from fissures in the volcanic rock.
